Work Experience at Jabula Big Cat Sanctuary

Jabula Big Cat Sanctuary is a hands on education centre for endangered and vulnerable cat species such as Cheetah, Lions and Tigers. We take on a limited amount of genuine people to help us run this facility.

There is always something to do at Jabula Big Cat Sanctuary. You will have the opportunity to bond with our animals, learn about their needs and tend to their day to day requirements whilst interacting with people from all around the world.

You do not need any previous experience in working with animals, but because we run fun and educational tours for the general public it is important to have a good command of the English language.

Typical daily tasks may include:

  • Enclosure Cleaning
  • Gardening
  • General Maintenance
  • Meat preparation for Big Cats
  • Helping to feed the animals
  • Quality enrichment time with the animals
  • Running Tours for the Day Visitors

This is a life changing experience which you will never forget.

Please note: We do not have any association with the canned hunting industry!

*Work experience placements can be from 1 week to 6 weeks long. Please email us at for pricing and further information. All persons must be 16 or over!
